The Challenge Log in Final Fantasy XIV is a set of weekly quests that you can unlock and complete to earn rewards. This is not required, but we encourage you to do so as the rewards are well worth it. You can complete tasks for farming XP and Gils. But the challenge log is not available from the start. How to unlock the Challenge Log in Final Fantasy XIV

The Challenge Log is an important part of the game. At level 15 you will be able to unlock it. You will then need to do the following things to unlock the challenge log:
- You have to complete the quest “Call of the Sea”.
- Completing the “Call of the Sea”quest will unlock the “Accept the Challenge”quest.
- Go to the top deck of Limsa Lominsa
- Speak to NPC Y’tolvann
- Accept the quest “Accept the Challenge”
- Go through the upper deck and talk to another NPC named Quentenine.
- Go to the Fisherman’s Guild.
- Talk to Wastleid and give him the journal.
- He will hand you a new diary
- Choose what reward you want and the quest is complete
- You will receive the message “Test Log Received”.
To access the Challenge Log in Final Fantasy XIV, go to the main menu. There, in the “Journals”section, you will find a challenge log.

You can choose from the following task categories:
- Battles
- pvp
- FATE
- Levquests
- Crafting and gathering
- Treasure Hunt
- Beast Tribes
- Grand Company
- retainers
- golden saucer
- Eureka
