Five Nights at Freddy’s: Emma Tammy replaces Chris Columbus as director

Blumhouse Productions has found a new director for Five Nights at Freddy’s.

While Chris Columbus pulled out of the project last year without any explanation, Emma Tammy (The Wind, Blood Moon, Into Darkness) is taking over and directing the adaptation of Five Nights at Freddy’s. Based on the work of franchise creator Scott Cawthon, it tells the story of a newly hired security guard at Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza. On his first night on the job, he realizes the job won’t be all that easy, as the animatronic animals that distract the kids during the day play their own creepy games… at night.

Emma Tammy said:

Immerse yourself in the rich and chilling world of Five Nights at Freddy’s with Scott Cawthon, Blumhouse Productions and Jim Henson’s Creature Shop is incredibly exciting. I can’t wait for the audience to take in the wild and beautiful playground we’re creating.

Scott Cawthon added:
