Difficulties in the submission and approval process explain the transfer of Football Manager 2023 to PS5.
Available starting this week on Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, Nintendo Switch, PC (Steam/Epic Games/Microsoft Store), Apple Arcade (iPhone/iPad/Mac/Apple TV), iOS and Android, Football Manager 2023 was also due appearing on PS5 from Sony Interactive Entertainment, but various complications during the completion of development have resulted in the British studio Sports Interactive delaying this release, with no new date to report at the moment:
We deeply regret this issue, which we have been working tirelessly with our partners for several weeks to resolve. The decision to delay Football Manager 2023 on PS5 has been an especially difficult one as many of the talented people at Sports Interactive have been hard at work for many months to bring it to life. We will do everything in our power to ensure that PS5 owners can enjoy the richness of our game as soon as possible.
Football Manager 2023 Launch Trailer
With significant additions and improvements in key areas of the game, Football Manager 2023 takes the acclaimed license to new heights. Over 8.8 million matches were played during early access to the beta. FM23 also had many pre-orders and record pre-registrations. Finally, thanks to the absence of the FM23 physical edition disc and booklet, as well as improvements to the eco-packaging, Sports Interactive has achieved a reduction in the overall carbon footprint of the packaging for FM23 compared to FM22.
Please note that those who pre-ordered the PS5 version of Football Manager 2023 from the PlayStation Store may be eligible for a refund in accordance with platform policy.
