Forspoken delayed by months

The first creation of Luminous Productions will be released with a delay.

Japanese studio Luminous Productions, a subsidiary of publisher Square Enix, has decided to delay the release of Forspoken on PS5 and PC (Epic Games Store/Steam) from May 24 to October 11, 2022: “Our vision for this exciting new license is to provide an open world and a hero that players around the world will want to experience for years to come, so it’s extremely important for us to get it right. Speaking of which, over the next few months we’ll be focusing all of our efforts on polishing the game, and we can’t wait to bring you Frey’s journey this fall. ”

History

Summoned by unknown magic in the fictional world of Atia, Frey Holland will quickly find herself under the rule of the benevolent matriarchs named Tanntas. The latter are mad and evil witches due to the Mist, a relentless plague that has turned animals into wild beasts, humans into monsters, and landscapes full of life into four dangerous kingdoms. Resisting the Mist and desperate for answers, Freyr reluctantly agrees to help the last inhabitants of Atia, who see her as their last hope. Frey’s journey through these strange and treacherous lands will take her to the heart of corruption, where she must face monstrous creatures, come face to face with powerful tantnta, and uncover secrets that will awaken something much deeper.
