Guide to Terraria Shimmer: how to find it

Terraria is a sandbox adventure game with no end. The game allows the player to test their creativity by creating the items needed to advance further in the game. Terraria has an impressive environment that you can explore to get a few items. Also, this game has liquids that have different effects when they react with an item. Flicker is the newest addition to Liquids, added in game update 1.4.4. This glowing liquid has some magical effects that can completely change the item or character that interacts with it. Although, it cannot be found randomly anywhere on the map and must be found. Check out this guide for steps on how to find flicker in Terraria.

Shimmer is located in a new ethereal biome in the game. Ethereal biomes can be found in any world created after game update 1.4.4. After that, to find the ethereal biome, just go to the ocean part of the world. Once you get there, start digging in the ground and turn left when it starts to get dark. That’s where you’ll find the shimmering liquid in Terraria.

Another way to get shimmer is to create a bottomless shimmer bucket. It can be crafted by combining a Bottomless Bucket of Water with 10x Luminite Bars on the Ancient Manipulator. Alternatively, if you have defeated the Moon Lord, you can directly throw a bottomless bucket of water into the shimmer to get a bottomless shimmer bucket. After acquiring it, you will be able to create shimmering puddles at your base and use them to transform various items.
