Where to find and unlock the Ruin Serpent boss in Genshin Impact
You can find the Ruin Serpent located in Abyss: Underground Mines west of Liyue. The Ruin Serpent is a common field boss that can be unlocked by completing the Secret Seven-Star Seal quest. This is a second world quest in the Chasm Delvers quest chain. When you complete a World Quest, it will unlock the first part of the Abyss Underground Mines Map.
How to get to the Ruin Serpent (location)
Follow these steps:
- Teleport to the Abyss: Underground mines in Liyue.

- When you get there, you will see a ladder on your left.
- Climb up the stairs and go up. As you climb this ladder, you may encounter several enemies.
- There will be three sets of stairs that you need to climb.
- Climbing up to the third set, you will see a long bridge with a statue of the Seelie Court next to it.
- Cross and go over the bridge. Then go straight until you find a tunnel with train tracks.

- Keep going straight until you see a cave entrance.
- As you progress, you may encounter several enemies. You can either fight them or avoid them to head towards the Ruin Serpent.
- When you get to the Serpent Cave, you need to go straight ahead until you see a glowing red Teleport dot to your right.
- You can interact with the waypoint to save it and unlock the achievement.
- Along with the Into the Depths achievement, you will also receive 5 Primogems and 50 Adventure EXP.
- In addition to that, you can also find a couple of crystal cores there.
- Now slide down and go straight again to find the Ruin Serpent boss.
