Glo is a new icon pack for iPhone and Android smartphones from ConceptCentral that can make app icons on the home screen look like what you’ll find on a Mac running macOS Big Sur or later.
The official teaser for Glo is embedded above, and if you’re interested, anyone can download and use it completely free.
Referring to the information posted in the Glo image on the ConceptCentral website, the icon pack contains over 100 custom icons for both standard and third-party applications. The icon pack provides both round and rectangular variations of app icons according to the user’s preference.
You may also be happy to hear that you can install Glo on both jailbroken and regular iOS devices!
Crackers can install Glo from the ConceptCentral repository through their favorite package manager app and apply the theme with the SnowBoard theme platform.
You can find the ConceptCentral repository URL below:
Conversely, non-jailbreak users can install Glo by applying the Shortcuts app method, which simply replaces the home screen app icon with a custom shortcut that uses an image of your choice instead of the app’s own icon.
Creating themes with custom icon packs is a great way to make your iPhone stand out from the crowd, especially if all iPhones look the same given Apple’s tough stance on user-based selection and customization.
Android users are no stranger to these types of customizations, but despite being an Apple-style icon theme, it looks great on competing hardware as well. Here’s a side-by-side home screen comparison provided by ConceptCentral:
