February 24 Motorola will hold a new presentation. The company posted the first official teaser of the upcoming launch on social media. The teaser says #findyouredge, which hints at the release of a new Edge series phone.
The upcoming Edge device should be the Moto Edge 30 Pro. For those who don’t know, the Moto Edge 30 Pro is said to be a rebadged version of the Moto Edge X30 released back in December in China. A recent leak suggested that the device would be released this month in global markets.
Moto Edge X30 specifications and features
The Moto Edge X30 features a 6.7-inch Full HD+ POLED display with a resolution of 2400×1080 pixels, a 144Hz refresh rate and a maximum brightness of 700 nits. It’s a 10-bit HDR10+ certified panel that has room for a front-facing selfie camera inside a notch.
The Edge X30 is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 is currently Qualcomm’s flagship offering and is built on a 4nm process. The system-on-a-chip has an integrated Adreno 730 GPU. The phone boots Android 12 with proprietary MyUI 3.0 on top.
The Edge X30 offers a triple rear camera and LED flash. The main sensor of the device is a 50-megapixel sensor with optical image stabilization. It is accompanied by a 50MP ultra wide-angle lens and a 2MP depth sensor. On the front, there is a 60 MP sensor for selfies and video calls.
The Edge X30 is equipped with a 5000mAh battery and supports 68W fast charging. It has a USB Type-C charging port and a side-mounted fingerprint scanner that doubles as a power button. The Edge X30 is sold in three configurations: 8GB + 128GB, 8GB + 256GB, and 12GB + 256GB. It comes in two color options – black and pearl white.
