Counterplay Games presents Exalted, a major update for Godfall.
Billed as Godfall’s biggest update, Exalted will bring a slew of content to PS5, PS4, and PC starting April 7th, ranging from quality of life improvements to cosmetic items and a slew of highly requested features. Third-person looter slasher with RPG mechanics.
“This is the culmination of a year and a half post-launch development and addresses the important elements that our community wanted to implement in the game,” said Daniel Nordlander, game director at Counterplay Games. “We’ve pored over feedback from forums, social media, and countless streams and videos to determine what didn’t live up to players’ expectations, and sometimes even ours. The Exalted update is not just a thank you to everyone who has been with us and helped us improve the game since day one, but also the best time for newcomers to jump into the game.”
Exalted Update Content for Godfall
Shards of Plate of Valor
- Each of the 12 Valorous Plates now comes with four unlockable Shards, offering new ways to customize and improve your playstyle.
- For example, shards make it easier for Phoenix to incinerate enemies with Fire Strike, launch a cone of flame through his shield, and even resurrect.
Plates of Rising and Sublime Values
- Earning all four shards will unlock the Valorous Form of Valor, granting a second passive ability.
- Once all four shards are upgraded to their maximum level, Plate of Valor will become Exalted, granting a third and final passive ability, as well as unlocking an awesome skin that can be displayed on the Plate of Valor Podium in the Sanctuary.
Rich story
- Ravenna and Soras will now accompany Orin to fight alongside him in some of the main missions and provide new dialogue options in the Sanctuary between missions.
- Macros, Orin’s evil brother, is now more prominent in the campaign, taunting him during the main missions and building up the tension until the epic final showdown.
Reworked combat
- All weapons are now equipped with powerful time attacks that can be activated immediately after using a weapon technique.
- Knockdown 2.0 is one of the most requested features by fans. Thanks to the new recovery skill, they can now quickly return to combat after being knocked down.
- Added a resurrection system to allow players to resurrect their allies in co-op.
Updated kingdom bosses
- The seal mechanic has been removed to make bosses run more smoothly. Players can now encounter them as soon as the story allows them.
- However, each boss now has three captains scattered across their realm. Defeating the captains will get rid of powerful plagues that would make it much more difficult to fight their leader.
A long-awaited improvement in the quality of life
- Godfall is full of amazing loot to collect, and the Exalted update brings new ways to sort and manage your ever-growing inventory.
- A strategist’s paradise, Godfall’s new gear menu allows players to save up to three Valor builds, including unique skill grids.
Tower of Exalted Trials
- Test your skills against enemies up to level 150 and bosses that spawn at the same time in this ultimate high level challenge.
- Get a unique new weapon with three main traits
New mode for up to 6 players: Spirit Realm.
- Play in a group with up to five other players for the best Godfall co-op experience.
- Use your spiritual vision to fight your enemies and uncover the secrets hidden between the spiritual and physical planes by collecting ancient souls.
- Use Elder Souls to unlock the Ancient Gate and take on all of Godfall’s formidable bosses, this time with unique Mind Vision-related mechanics.
- Collect macro shards to gain powerful blessings that will be active as you explore the Spirit Realm.
