Google Pixel Watch smartwatches can be issued in May during the I/O 2022 conference.
We’ve been hearing about Google’s plans to launch its own Pixel-branded smartwatches for years now. Which in the end would be quite logical, since the American giant is actively developing its own software platform designed for connected watches. A platform that was also extensively overhauled last year by Samsung. But there are no Google Pixel smartwatches on the market yet. However, this may happen soon.

Indeed, according to a recent report by Jon Prosser, sources told him that the Mountain View firm plans to launch such a device on May 26, 2022. Since Google traditionally organizes its I/O event aimed at developers in the middle of the year and the 2021 release took place in May, it is possible that this smartwatch will be announced during the I/O 2022 conference.

We don’t know much about this Pixel Watch at the moment, but it might be of interest to users who prefer the Pixel brand over any other. Google has already tried a number of very different products for its Pixel brand, the most notable of which are certainly Android Pixel smartphones, Chromebooks, tablets, and even headphones. Ultimately, it’s quite surprising that Pixel-branded smartwatches didn’t see the light of day sooner.
That being said, Jon Prosser notes that Google has been known to push back launch dates. Do not mark this date in your calendar right away. In any case, we hope to have more details in the coming weeks/months before I/O 2022.
