The flagship gaming service on Microsoft’s Xbox consoles, Halo Infinite, isn’t nearly as effective at maintaining player retention.
Brian ske7ch Jarrard, head of communications at US studio 343 Industries, understands the bad player feedback on the sequel to Halo Infinite. The big change is well planned, but it takes time: “There are a lot of problems and limitations. We are clearly unhappy that we cannot meet the expectations of the players and the community, this is a difficult situation, which the team will take time to resolve. For now, the focus is on Season 2, and we’ll have more information on it in the coming weeks. Meanwhile, production planning, costing or even hiring is in progress, which is not really conducive to regular and detailed updates. We understand that the community is just on edge, and frankly, I think they’re fed up with the lyrics. We just need some time for the team to sort out the details and then we can share everything, than we can. ”
With the community melting like snow in the sun (less than 10,000 concurrent users on PC via Steam), some fans can’t help but express their dissatisfaction with 343 Industries’ management on social media like Visco0825: “Sorry, but what’s going on?”Here? How can five months after launch still be hiring and planning? and TimeGlitches: “Don’t get me wrong, but how can your studio with hundreds of developers have such trouble releasing new maps, new modes and cosmetics?”This is not a request for a five-star meal. It’s just the minimum. ”
Forge mode still lagging behind Halo Infinite multiplayer
Halo Infinite’s multiplayer mode launched in December 2021 without the Forge mode, which allows players to create their own maps and game types. The community was anticipating this as a delay to Forge was announced last summer, but another delay to the feature was later confirmed when 343 Industries extended the first season of Halo Infinite multiplayer, which was originally scheduled to end earlier this year, to May next year.
Forge is currently being tested by a small group of community creators and is still scheduled for the third season of the Halon Infinite multiplayer game. This may happen at the end of the year.
