Hitman VR for PC Coming January 20th: Everything You Need to Know

Hitman 3 is set to start Year 2 on January 20th with all sorts of new content and game modes, but that’s not all, as Hitman VR for PC also releases on January 20th. The game will support not only the third game in the series, but the entire trilogy of World of Assassination.

This means that players will be able to experience Hitman 1, 2 and 3 in virtual reality on January 20th. will support “the most popular hardware”. It can be assumed that the game will be supported on popular devices such as Oculus/Meta Quest 2, Rift S, HTC Vive and Valve Index.

Year 2 will not only bring new content like the Elusive Target Arcade to the game, but also a host of technical improvements. IO Interactive has made a number of improvements to the Glacier Engine to accommodate new technologies such as ray tracing.

In addition to ray tracing, Hitman 3 will also feature Intel AI-Upscaling XeSS technology. To top it off, the game will also implement VRS (Variable Rate Shading) to improve PC performance by shading different frequencies in different parts of the image.
