Hogwarts Legacy features many different types of equipment and items that can be found or unlocked. As you progress, you need to upgrade your gear to level up and fight powerful enemies or bosses. You can do this by adding and applying various traits to your equipment. What are traits? These are various powerful buffs that you can apply depending on the rarity of your equipment. But most players are pretty confused about equipping or adding these traits. Don’t worry, check out our guide on how to add traits to equipment in Hogwarts Legacy to find out.
How to Add Stats to Your Equipment in Hogwarts Legacy (Upgrade Guide)
You can add or give properties to equipment using the Enchanted Loom in the Room of Requirement in the Hogwarts Legacy. If you haven’t unlocked the spell yet, you will be casting or casting it during the quest Elf, Packing Bag and Loom. After completing the quest, you can create an Enchanted Loom in the Utilities menu by selecting the Scoundrel icon. Casting the required spell will cost you 8 moonstones.

But before that, also make sure you have unlocked the Room of Requirement. You can unlock this room by completing the Flying Class quest. Now follow these steps to add or add traits to your gear:
- Once you’ve crafted the Enchanted Loom, move closer and interact with it.
- Depending on the rarity of your equipment, you can add and upgrade various features to it.
- There are three different slots for traits, and you can equip traits into your gear based on their rarity.
So, here are all the rarities of equipment:
- Superior Equipment: Trait slot level 1 (only 1 trait can be added)
- Extraordinary equipment: Trait slot level 2 (can add 2 traits)
- Legendary Equipment: Level 3 Trait Slot (3 traits can be added)
- Please note that you will also need some resources to add traits and upgrade your gear.
- You can get these crafting resources by saving or taming different animals.
