Horizon Forbidden West: Guerrilla Games Announces End of Development

Development of Horizon: Forbidden West has officially ended.

Angie Smets, Director and Executive Producer of Guerrilla Games, rejoiced at the good news after months of hard work: “Horizon Forbidden West has gone gold! This means we are ready to publish and distribute the game so you can experience the Forbidden West with Aloy in less than a month. I want to take this opportunity to congratulate the entire team on their hard work, as well as thank the community for their continued support and enthusiasm as we prepare to release the game.”

Hermen Hulst, head of PlayStation Studios, praised the Dutch studio for their work on the PS5 and PS4 exclusive: “Hats off to the Guerrilla Games team – this development cycle has been extremely challenging, but the depth, scale and quality of what they’ve done has blown me away. Can’t wait for our fans to play it.”

Horizon: Forbidden West PS4 Pro version in video

Guerrilla Games presents an exclusive preview of Aloy’s new adventures, shot on PS4 Pro: In this passage, you will learn about the Utarus, who live a serene life under a thatched canopy built on the easily defended parabolas of the old world. Climbers are dangerous and especially agile enemies that will keep you on your toes throughout the fights. Find out what awaits you in the wild lands in this passage. Remember the norniks we introduced you to in our trailer? They are wonderful adversaries, especially when they are in a herd, as in this passage.”

Horizon: Forbidden West will be available on PS5 and PS4 on February 18th.
