Disney+ Basic with ads launches at $8 per month.
An August 2022 report said that Disney+ and Hulu will become more expensive in 2022, and that just happened. On December 8, Disney+ launched a new ad-supported plan, while raising the price of the previous ad-free option.
The ad-driven option, called Basic, includes everything the previous subscription did, except for offline downloads. But hey, you can watch ads!
Introducing Disney+ Premium ad-free for $11/month.
Meanwhile, the previous subscription is now called Disney+ Premium.
It includes everything as before, including offline downloads and ad-free browsing, in exchange for $11 per month, which means a $3 increase. An annual Premium subscription costs $110, which is $30 more.
The Basic with Ads plan does not include GroupWatch, SharePlay support, Dolby Atmos audio, and offline downloads. The new plans and pricing apply worldwide.

Basic or Premium: Which Disney+ Plan is Right for You?
If you want to spend as little as possible and don’t care about ad-free streaming and offline viewing, you should opt for Disney+ Basic at $8/month, which is the same price you’ve been paying every month since March 2021..
You won’t be able to download shows to watch without an internet connection, which may turn some people off. The more important question you should be asking yourself is, “How do I feel about commercials interrupting my shows?”
If you don’t mind ads on YouTube, then you probably won’t be interested in ads when streaming Disney+ shows. But if you’re the type of person who pays for YouTube Premium just to get rid of the ads, then it makes sense to consider paying $3 a month for Disney+ Premium.
Disney+ Basic and Hulu Ads
If you’re interested in both Disney+ and Hulu, consider the $10/month streaming package that includes Disney+ Basic with ads and Hulu with ads.
That’s $6 less per month than the combined price of the individual Disney+ and Hulu plans. The ad-supported Disney+, Hulu, and ESPN+ package costs $13 per month or $20 for the ad-free version of this package.
Finally, the ad-free Disney+ Premium package – plus ad-supported Hulu and ESPN+ – will set you back $15/month instead of $14/month.
