HP has announced the release of its 2022 EliteBook and ProBook laptop lineup ahead of the official days of the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2022. The new lineup offers AMD processors and was announced shortly after AMD introduced its Ryzen 6000 series of laptop processors. The newly announced laptops include two levels of the HP EliteBook portfolio, featuring both AMD Ryzen 6000 and Ryzen 5000 Pro processors and new ProBook laptops based on the latter as well.
HP EliteBook 645 G9, 655 G9
Starting with the core EliteBook lineup, the new laptops feature AMD Ryzen 5000 Pro Series processors, up to 64GB DDR4 RAM and 1.5TB SSD storage. Two laptops in this segment, the EliteBook 649 G9 and EliteBook 655, feature standard 16:9 aspect ratio displays that can be configured for both HD (1366 x 768) and Full HD (1920 x 1080) resolutions. There are two battery options – 42.75Wh and 51.3Wh, both of which support HP Fast Charge.
All laptops are equipped with HD webcams with optional configurations offering support for Windows Hello via facial recognition as well as fingerprints. Both offer USB-C 4.0 ports, two USB-A ports, an HDMI 2.0 port, an Ethernet port, a card reader, NFC support, and an additional SIM slot in certain WeUs. The EliteBook 645 G9 weighs 1.37kg and the EliteBook 655 weighs 1.74kg. Prices in India have yet to be announced, while global prices start at $1,149 (roughly Rs. 85,000).
HP EliteBook 835 G9, 845 G9, 865 G9
In the more premium range, the HP EliteBook 835 G9, 845 G9, and 865 G9 laptops feature AMD Ryzen 6000 series processors. The 835 is equipped with 16GB of non-upgradeable DDR5 RAM, while the other two offer 64GB of DDR5 RAM, which is also user-upgradeable. The laptops also offer 2TB SSD-based storage. All displays offer a 16:10 aspect ratio and Full HD+ resolution, as well as a proprietary HP SureView Reflect privacy screen layer at the top. Dimensions: 13″for EliteBook 835 G9, 14″for 845 and 16″for 865.
The laptops also feature new 5-megapixel auto-framing webcams for improved video conferencing. In terms of ports, the laptops offer two USB-A, two USB-C 4.0, one HDMI 2.0, one audio port, and additional WeUs with a SIM slot, NFC, a smart card reader, an IR camera for Windows Hello, and a fingerprint sensor. fingers.. All HP ProBook 435 x360, 445 and 455 are equipped with AMD Ryzen 5000 Pro processors. All laptops offer up to 32GB of DDR4 memory. In terms of storage, the 435 x360 offers a 2TB SSD, while the other two offer a 1TB SSD and a 256GB hard drive. All displays are Full HD and are available in 13.3″, 14″and 15.6″models. All laptops support a touch screen, and on the last two it is optional.
A new 5 megapixel webcam is available on the ProBook 435 x360. Ports include a standard array of one USB-C, one USB-A, one HDMI 2.0, one microSD card reader, and one audio jack. The laptops offer 42Wh on the 435 and 42.75Wh / 51Wh on the 445 and 455. The laptops weigh 1.45kg, 1.37kg and 1.74kg respectively.
