HP India has announced the launch of its 2022 line of gaming laptops in both the OMEN and Victus lines. The new laptops feature up to 12th Gen Intel and AMD Ryzen 6000 series processors, as well as Nvidia RTX 3080Ti and AMD RX 6650M integrated GPUs. The new lines offer updated internals as well as incremental upgrades such as improved thermal management systems while keeping the overall laptop design language largely consistent.
HP OMEN line of laptops: what it offers
The HP OMEN 16 and OMEN 17 lineup use 12th generation Intel and AMD Ryzen 6000 series processors, but HP does not specify which processor WeUs are used in the new laptops. However, the company has confirmed that both OMEN 16 and 17 will feature Nvidia RTX 3070 Ti and 3080 Ti or AMD Ryzen RX 6650M GPUs. RAM and storage options go up to 32GB of DDR5 memory and 2TB of PCIe Gen4 SSDs.
The OMEN 16 features a 16.1-inch display with a 16:9 aspect ratio, Quad HD resolution and a 165Hz refresh rate. OMEN 17 has the same screen resolution and refresh rate, but with a screen size of 17.3 inches. Both laptops feature additional heatpipes and vents to help keep the GPU and SSD temperatures inside these laptops cooler. This will allow laptops to run at peak performance for longer due to better heat management.
HP Victus 15 and 16: what do they offer
The Victus 15 is equipped with 12th generation Intel Core i5 and i7 processors, as well as Nvidia RTX 3050 Ti GPUs. HP did not specify memory and storage amounts, but the laptop will feature a 15.6-inch Full HD display, combined with a noise reduction algorithm for better clarity of dark areas on the display during gaming.
The Victus 16, meanwhile, is powered by an AMD Ryzen 7 6800H processor and an Nvidia RTX 3050 Ti GPU, along with up to 32GB of DDR5 RAM and 512GB of SSD storage. The laptop also offers a 16.1-inch Full HD display with a 144Hz refresh rate. It also gets a new heat management design to improve cooling efficiency.
OMEN desktop line
The new HP OMEN desktop lineup includes OMEN 45L, 40L and 25L versions and features 12th Gen Intel Core i7-12700F processors and top-of-the-line Nvidia RTX 3080 GPU with 10GB GDDR6 GPU. It also gets up to 32GB of DDR4 memory and 1TB of SSD storage. The desktops feature a Cryo cooling chamber for ambient air cooling technology, while the gaming desktop has a CPU glass case, tool-free access, and full desktop RGB control. Desktop computers are also equipped with power supplies up to 800W.
HP Victus 15L Desktop PC
Finally, the Victus 15L is equipped with either a 12th Gen Intel Core i7-12700F processor or an AMD Ryzen 7 5700G octa-core processor, along with an Nvidia RTX 3060 Ti GPU. HP says the desktop lineup could offer “extensive”customization options and the ability to upgrade internal components in the future. The desktop processor package also gets a customizable RGB logo.
Prices
HP OMEN 16 laptops start at $1395 and are available immediately. The OMEN 17, meanwhile, will be available from August for $2,560. The Victus 15, the most affordable of the bunch, will be available starting next month for $870. The Victus 16, meanwhile, can be purchased starting today for $1,088.
Finally, HP OMEN desktops are now available starting at $1920 and the Victus 15L is also available starting at $1203.
