Dark Slope and Insight Productions are collaborating on a dynamic offering of unscripted series that utilize cutting-edge augmented reality and virtual production technologies.
Announced late last year, the Hyperreality Initiative aims to create a new form of immersive and experiential television and break down the boundaries between the real world and the digital world. Dark Slope’s specialized game design capabilities, stunning visuals rendered in Unreal Engine, advanced haptic feedback, and camera, hand, face, and object tracking will combine to push the boundaries of what’s possible in TV and bring participants closer to the metaverse. Production of the first draft is expected to begin in the next few weeks.
