The range of HP Omen 16 gaming laptops starts at $1850. The laptops will be available through HP’s own online store as well as offline HP World stores. They will also be available on online retail e-commerce platforms and offline multi-brand retailers.
Main characteristics
In terms of the best specs on offer, the HP Omen 16 (2021) lineup of laptops includes 11th Gen Intel Core i7-11800 processors as well as an Nvidia GeForce RTX 3070 GPU with up to 8GB of VRAM. In terms of memory and storage, the laptops offer up to 16GB of DDR4 3200MHz RAM while there is only one PCIe Gen4 x4 slot for SSD storage. Laptops offer up to 1TB SSD.
In terms of display, the HP Omen 16 features a 16.1-inch Quad HD display with the usual 16:9 aspect ratio. The laptops offer a 165Hz refresh rate, cover 100 percent of the sRGB color gamut, and also offer a 3ms response time. The notebooks are also equipped with EyeSafe flicker protection and TUV Rheinland low emission certification.
The keyboard features 4-zone RGB LED backlighting with anti-ghosting support. It features new fan blades that HP says are 2.5 times thinner than before (called Omen Tempest Cooling) and three times as many blades as its predecessor, the Omen 15. The laptop is powered by a battery with a capacity of 83 Wh, which is claimed to provide up to 9 hours of battery life.
