Nubia has been confirmed to launch the RedMagic 7 series in China on February 17th. At the same time, the company will release RedMagic 7 and the Pro model. The launch invite doesn’t say much about upcoming gaming smartphones. However, a lot about the devices has been leaked through various certification websites.
Both devices will support 165W fast charging and will likely come with a 4500mAh battery. By comparison, the global variants only support 65W fast charging. They will be powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor. Nubia is expected to launch devices with multiple storage options. The Pro model can have up to 18GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage.
The front of the device is equipped with a 6.7-inch display. The vanilla model is expected to feature a Full HD+ OLED display. We can expect the Pro model to come with a 2K screen. Both devices will also support 165Hz refresh rates.
On the back, the vanilla model has a triple camera setup. It will have a 64-megapixel main camera sensor. The camera module is also likely to feature an 8MP ultra-wide-angle camera sensor and a 2MP macro/depth sensor. For selfies and streaming, the phone will have a 16-megapixel front camera.
There will be some kind of thermal cooling mechanism that will keep the heat under control. Both devices will run Android 12 out of the box with the RedMagic UI on top. Other details about the devices remain unknown. We will share more details as they become available.
