SuperGaming has just opened a new studio in Pune to focus on the development of Indus, the upcoming battle royale game for PC, mobile and consoles. This is the second SuperGaming studio in Pune, the first being at its headquarters and handling other studio titles such as MaskGun, Silly Royale as well as the upcoming web3 game.
Indus is one of the most exciting video game titles released in India and the studio’s entire focus is on delivering a solid battle royale experience across a range of platforms. It is the most ambitious game in the history of the studio and one of the most high-profile games made in India in recent times.
SuperGaming opens new studio for Indus and shares new MoCap footage from the game
In addition to revealing the new studio, SuperGaming also shared Motion Capture footage shot at their new studio. The MoCap footage is for Indus’ main character, Mythwalker, and the studio showcases the character’s moveset as well as what appears to be emotions.
“Indus is our most ambitious game to date,” says Roby John, co-founder and CEO of SuperGaming. “While we were building our skill set to match our vision for the game, we were also actively hiring staff for it, so much so that we didn’t have enough room to comfortably house all the teams. With that in mind, we’ve decided to move Indus development to a brand new studio.”
Scheduled for release in 2022, Indus uses SuperGaming’s fully developed Indus Engine sandbox shooter tech stack. The studio has made significant strides in mobile gaming with big hits like Silly Royale and MaskGun, but Indus will be released on mobile as well as consoles and PC.
