Infinix launched the Infinix Note 11 as well as the Infinix Note 11S smartphones last month. Both of these devices are powered by the MediaTek chipset. These devices come with a 5000mAh battery and support 33W fast charging. Recently, Infinix has started rolling out a new software update for the Infinix Note 11 series. The latest OTA software update for the Infinix Note 11 series includes an extended RAM feature that provides a temporary performance boost. According to information provided by Infinix, the new software update adds up to 3GB of additional RAM to the Note 11S.
New OTA update brings extended RAM feature to Infinix Note 11 series
After installing the new software update on the Infinix Note 11 4 GB / 6 GB RAM model, users will be able to get 1 GB of additional RAM. The Extended RAM feature will allow users to run more applications at the same time and quickly switch between applications without delay. As mentioned above, the 8GB RAM variant of the Infinix Note 11S will get additional 3GB RAM support. This new feature works by using the phone’s ROM when there is not enough RAM to provide a smooth experience.
According to Infinix, the Extended RAM feature will be enabled when users run more apps at the same time on their smartphones. Also, the extended RAM feature won’t improve battery life by much. With this new feature, Infinix Note 11s users will be able to run up to 20 apps at the same time, up from 9 apps previously running without this feature. The company also notes that app launch speeds are up to 60 percent faster and games load much faster with the new software update.
The Infinix Note 11S is equipped with UFS 2.2 flash storage. UFS 2.2 flash offers faster storage speeds than traditional UFS 2.1, including an 8% increase in random write speed and an 80% increase in sequential write speed.
