So, follow these steps to resolve the critical Script Hook V error:
- First, go to your GTA 5 game folder and right-click on the GTA5.exe file.
- Click on its properties and toggle the “Details”tab in the menu. Check and write down its version of the file.
- Now launch your browser and go to the official Script Hook V website (link).
- From there, check if the supported patches are compatible with your version of the game.
- Alternatively, you can also skip the above two steps and check the supported versions directly from the error message.
- If your version of the game supports this file, click on the download link to download Script Hook V.
- Once you have downloaded the files, you must extract those files.
- Then open the Bin folder from the extracted folder. In this folder you will find two files. dll.
- Copy these files. dll and paste them into your GTA 5 folder.
- Finally, launch the game to check if the error has been resolved.
