So, here are a few ways to resolve the “Application has stopped working unexpectedly”error in COD MW2:
Run Modern Warfare 2 as administrator.
- Navigate to the default Modern Warfare 2 COD file directory.
- You need to select and right click the COD MW II.exe file.
- Then select the “Run as administrator”option.
- After starting the game, check if the error message still appears.
Update to the latest graphics drivers
This error message may appear due to outdated graphics drivers. You can go to NVIDIA and AMD official websites to manually download the latest drivers. After downloading the latest graphics driver, restart your computer. Then run COD MW2 to see if it works.
Scan and repair game files
