It Takes Two to be adapted for film and television

Hazelight Studios is teaming up with dj2 Entertainment to bring It Takes Two to the big and small screens.

At the moment, no studio or TV channel is attached to the project, but some sources indicate that it is currently the subject of a bidding war between several groups. Pat Casey and Josh Miller, screenwriters of the feature film Sonic the Hedgehog and its sequel, are also involved in the movie and TV adaptation of It Takes Two.

“Creating the world and story of It Takes Two was a lot of fun for me and the development team,” said Joseph Fares, founder and creative director of Hazelight Studios. “Because it has a strong narrative with lots of crazy characters and equally crazy moments of co-action, the potential for a great movie or TV adaptation is huge.”Dimitri M. Johnson, CEO and Founder of dj2 Entertainment, added, “We are honored to be collaborating with Joseph and the amazing team at Hazelight Studios on a linear media adaptation of It Takes Two. Like the rest of the gaming world, we’ve fallen head over heels in love with Cody, May, Rose, Dr. Hakeem, and the imaginary fantasy universe created by Hazelight, and we can’t wait to bring these characters to life. and this world is on the big and small screen.”

It Takes Two, the latest independent nugget from Hazelight Studios.

The game follows the adventures of Cody and May, two people who are magically transformed into living dolls. Trapped in a fantasy world, they must overcome their broken relationships and face many challenges in order to return to normal. They are guided on their journey by the guru of love, Dr. Hakim. It is unique in that it does not have a single player mode, it must be played cooperatively with a friend, either in person or online. It has received great reviews since its release in March 2021. It has already won dozens of industry awards, including Best Game of the Year at The Game Awards, and has sold over three million copies.
