The story of Kanye West’s career will be told in a documentary for Netflix.
Filmed over the course of two decades, Gene-Yus is an intimate and candid portrait of Kanye West, showing both his formative days as he struggled to break through and his current life as a global brand and artist. The film combines never-before-seen images of the American artist to delve into the struggles and triumphs of his career in music and fashion, as well as his dark sides, such as the tragic death of his mother or his controversial presidential candidacy. 2020.

All three parts of the Jeen-Yuhs event documentary are directed by Cudi Simmons and Chick Oza, who have followed Kanye’s career and musical influences over the years. The stream will begin on Netflix on February 16.
