How to play multiplayer in Sons of the Forest
From the main menu screen, you can decide whether you want to go alone or with a friend. To be precise, all you have to do is click on multiplayer mode and then join a server or host it. Here’s how:
Hosting
If you are the host, you can create a server (game) by following these steps:
- Click “Multiplayer”> “Host”on the main menu screen.
- Select the difficulty level on which you want to play the game.
- Next, choose an appropriate name for your server.
- Choose a limit on the number of players that can join your game (minimum 2 and maximum 8 players).
- In addition, you can also turn on the “Friends Only”mode. This will block the server only for you and the players on your friends list.
Accession
With multiplayer now hosted in Sons of the Forest, other players can join:
- Click “Multiplayer”> “Join”on the main menu screen.
- When joining a server, you can turn on the “Friends Only”option to make your friend’s server appear in the list.
- Alternatively, you can use the “Filter”option to search for a server manually.
- In addition, you can select a specific mode, after which the servers with the corresponding mode will appear in the list.
