There are a total of eight different creatures living in the Dreamlight Valley, and not all of them are as easy to approach as some others. Below is our list of all animals, where to find them, and their favorite food for reference.
Squirrels
Favorite food: peanuts. They can usually be found in the Plaza and are relatively easy to get to. Sometimes they just run up to you when they are looking for food.
rabbits
Favorite food: Carrots. Rabbits can usually be found in the Peaceful Meadows area. Now these critters are a bit difficult to approach. They are very playful and will run and jump a couple of times before letting you feed them. They joke even when they are hungry, so you need to entertain their spirit a little.
sea turtles
Favorite food: seaweed. You can usually see them on Dazzle Beach. All you have to do to feed them is bring them some seaweed from the beach. At first, they hide in their shell, but eventually jump out if they get hungry.
raccoons
Favorite food: blueberries. These mischievous little creatures haunt the Forest of Valor. To feed a raccoon, you must move slowly and steadily. They will sit around and look at you if they are hungry, but are very easily frightened. You just need to carefully get close to feed these furry critters.
crocodiles
Favorite food: Crocodile lobsters are commonly found in the Glade of Trust. Now the approach to feeding them is very similar to the approach to feeding raccoons. You just have to be careful not to scare them and slowly get close enough to feed them the lobsters.
Foxes
Favorite Food: White sturgeon foxes can be found in the foothills of the Frost Heights region. Now they are very different from all other creatures, for they are naturally cordial and will come to you when they are hungry. All you have to do is hunt them down and they will accept your food.

Favorite food: different kinds of flowers. These flutters can be found on the Sun Plateau. They are just very fast on their wings, so if you want to feed them you will have to keep up with their pace.

Favorite food: Unknown. These mysterious birds live in the Forgotten Lands. Unfortunately, little is known about them yet. Players have complained about not finding them at all, even when exploring their spawn area. However, we will update this article when we receive any updates.
