How to change costumes in Dead Space Remake

While the Deluxe Edition costumes in Dead Space Remake don’t give a respite to the monsters aboard the ship, they’re still pretty cool compared to the default costume. Your character, Isaac Clarke, wears the original Resource Integration Gear [RIG] suit in the game. Special edition skins are available for those who have purchased the Deluxe Edition of the game. The Infested, Lone Survivor, and Venture skins are all skins that are part of the Deluxe Edition. So, if you’re wondering how to change your costume in Dead Space Remake, look no further!

How to use the Deluxe Edition costumes in Dead Space

Unfortunately, you won’t be able to equip DLC armor in Dead Space during the early stages of the game. You’ll have to advance a bit in the story, here’s when and how to do it.

  • In the “Get to the Medical Deck”objective in Chapter 1, head to the tram stop.
  • Now interact with the store and go to “Storage”.
  • Select the desired costume from the lot and click “Put on”.

You have successfully changed costumes in Dead Space Remake. Also, you will need to note that all of these costumes are for cosmetic purposes only. They do not increase the characteristics of your character in any way. However, if you want to update RIG, here’s how to do it:

How to upgrade your RIG and change costumes in Dead Space

You will need an item called Knots to upgrade your costumes. You can increase your health, oxygen, stasis, and other stats by upgrading your RIG. Once you upgrade your costume, it will be applied to all your skins. The updated RIG will reflect on all of your costumes. You can find knots all over the ship or just buy them in the shop for 10,000 credits. All you have to do is bring them to the bench to start the upgrade.

Changing costumes in Dead Space is pretty easy too. Just go to any shop aboard the USG Ishimura if you want to change your look again. These shops can be accessed throughout the story, giving you the opportunity to try on all of your Deluxe costumes one by one.
