How to celebrate your musical 2022 in review on Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube Music, Deezer and more

It’s that time of year again. No, not the holiday season… the “share your year of listening to music” season. And no matter what music streaming service you use, there’s a way to find and share (or not share) your activities from 2022.

Ever since Spotify unveiled its Wrapped campaign in 2016, social media channels have been flooded with friends and family eager to show off their musical tastes (or lack thereof). But you don’t have to be a Spotify listener to participate.

If you use Apple Music, YouTube Music, or Deezer, there are also yearly roundups for you. As for Amazon Music and Tidal, you are more limited in what you can do. And Pandora is not the place if you want an annual rewind.

1 Spotify (2022)

Spotify’s Wrapped is the creator of a personalized year-end listener story, and this is the version you’re most likely to see on your Facebook wall or Twitter feed. It’s also still the best music streaming experience available on free and premium plans.

You can find and listen to various 2022 Wrapped playlists such as editor’s choice, popular tracks and your own 2022 activities through the web app or PC app. However, your activity history and all its bells and whistles is limited to the Android and iOS mobile app.

As long as you’re using the latest version of Spotify, you can select “Play”under “Spotify Wrapped: Your 2022 in Review”. If not, go to the “Search”tab and tap on the “2022 Wrapped”option. While viewing a presentation, you can click the Share button to save the page or send it to the platform of your choice.

2. Apple Music (repeat 2022)

Unlike Spotify, Replay is NOT available on the Android or iOS mobile apps, but is available on the Replay website on any browser. It’s also only available to current paid subscribers.

Visit the Replay website in any browser to view your year in music. You can find a shortcut to work on the For You and Search tabs on the mobile app. Once you’re on the site, click Get Started, then sign in with your Apple ID. The story will continue after you authenticate.

Please note that Apple requires users to pass an unspecified listening threshold in order to create a replay history. (I’m below the minimum, but luckily I know someone who meets the requirements.) Apple’s statement says there’s an entitlement progress bar available on the website, but it doesn’t show up for me.

Apple previously only offered a personalized playlist for the end of the year, but has now updated its Replay experience for 2022. In addition to presenting top songs, albums, artists and genres, Apple will show whether subscribers are considered superfans or top 100 listeners of their favorite songs. artist or genre. Click the share button at the bottom to enable the sharing protocol to save or share the page.

3. YouTube Music (Reviews 2022)

Not to be left out, Google’s default music streaming service offers a similar yearly history to its subscribers, including top artists and top tracks. As with Spotify, you’ll need an Android or iOS mobile app to access history, but you can find playlists via the web player along with seven days of personal listening trends.

On the mobile app, scroll down the Home tab to the Resume section. Click the “More”button, then “Watch Now”to continue. At the bottom of each page, find the download button to save the image to your camera roll, or the share button to bring up the sharing menu on your device.

Google has added several improvements to YouTube Music Recap to make it more interesting than others, and the results are compelling. For example, the summary shows which of your public playlists have been listened to the most by others.

The service also compiles a playlist of seasonal reviews. And your Recap story includes an assessment of the musical personality. I’m an “Alternative Party Starter”because “I bring vibes wherever I go, but keep my friends guessing with unexpected tracks.”It’s pretty close to the pin.

Those who choose to connect YouTube Music to Google Photos will receive a quarterly photo album showcasing the best track of the season among three randomly selected photos.

4. Deezer (MyDeezerYear 2022)

Deezer may not be as popular as the aforementioned services in the US, but it should be, and its annual MyDeezerYear total outperforms others in some ways. You can view your 2022 music review on the MyDeezerYear website. Just log in with your credentials to access your personal music history.

You can also find it on the Android and iOS app. It should have a shortcut directly from the Music tab. If you don’t see it right away, check the “Categories”section in the “Music”or “Search”tabs. The Podcasts tab even has a rewind of a 2022 podcast.

MyDeezerYear shows you a wealth of information, including your top tracks, the minutes and hours you’ve spent listening to music, and your favorite artists. You’ll also see your most common musical mood, the genre you listen to the most, what country most of your favorite artists are from, and even who your related music is.

Deezer has also added a new feature for 2022 that gives top fans a chance to win a golden ticket to see their most popular group with a friend. However, it is not available to US users; around 20 winners will be selected in France, Brazil and Germany, Deezer’s biggest markets.
