Here’s everything you need to know about how to beat Clayface in Gotham Knights. However, players cannot defeat him in the very first interaction. This is because the side mission CF01: Clayface is divided into 3 parts. Before diving into the steps, make sure you’ve completed the main story case 2, otherwise you won’t be able to start the Clayface case mission.

1.1 – The malleable robber

In the very first part, the player will need to start the mission by going to the West End of New Gotham. Once you get there, start scanning the crime and looking for clay mimics. Once you encounter the Clay Mimics, defeat them and collect the specimens marked in orange. In total, you need to collect 5 samples and go to the bell tower to start the business.

1.2 Disturbance At Dixon Docks – Defeat Clayface in Gotham Knights

After you get to the bell tower, just use your computer and open the Clayface case file. This will take you to a warehouse where you will have to look for clues to get to Clayface. We recommend that you use augmented reality scanners to help you track Clayface’s footprints. As you progress, you will come across another warehouse guarded by Clay’s Mimics. Just go ahead and defeat all the enemies, and then the famous villain will reveal himself.

As soon as Clayface appears, he will try to escape and there will be a chase. Players will need to track him down a broken road. We recommend that you use your Batcycle and be fast enough otherwise you will end up losing it and failing the mission. As we all know, water helps Clayface get stronger, so he’ll head down the drain and you’ll have to do the same.

After that, you will encounter more Clay Mimics to defeat and more clues to track down the villain. As you progress, you will come across a room with Clayface and his homunculi, who are Clayface himself. Here the player will finally fight the villain after some dialogue. The trick to defeating him is to predict ranged and melee attacks. As soon as the player deals damage to the homunculus, they stun him for a while, which gives him an advantage. However, all minions and homunculi share the same health bar, so your main goal will be to land as many hits as possible. After you defeat all the minions and homunculi, you will see a cut-scene in which Clayface is escaping from a locked sewer gate.

1.3 Rumble at the reservoir

After escaping, you need to return to the bell tower and start the last part of the mission from the menu. And then you teleport to the building with a cut-scene and dialogues with Detective Montoya. After that, as you progress in the game, you will finally meet Clayface for a boss fight. However, at this stage, he is stronger than before, with two hands behind his back. In this case, we recommend that you use gears damaged by fire and avoid using water and electric gears. This is because Clayface is weak in shooting and will help you quickly defeat him in Gotham Knights.

Players should also be aware of his new strikes and grabs, which can deal a lot of damage to them. However, attacks will be fairly easy to predict and avoid. The key to victory at this stage is to keep your distance from the villain as soon as you see a ranged or melee attack.

After the fight with him, a cut-scene will appear for a while, where he breaks the ground, and you both fall into the sewers. There, your character assumes Clayface is dead, but the battle isn’t over yet. The villain regenerates with water and appears stronger than before. In this case, Alfred advises you to retreat, but you come up with a plan to lure him into a hot spot.

And then the chase begins, where Clayface follows you, trying to kill you with his ground spikes and traps. Then, after a while, a cut-scene appears where both of you are in the hot zone. But now the arms on the villain’s back are bigger and stronger. Here again you need to dodge attacks and deal as much damage to Clayface as you can. This will eventually deplete the Villain’s health bar, and Clayface will be done for good.

That’s all you need to do to easily defeat Clayface in Gotham Knights. While you’re here, see how you can beat Harley Quinn in the game.
