How to Show Battery Percentage on iPhone (All Models)

If you use your iPhone day in and day out, it’s smart to keep an eye on your battery percentage. After all, you don’t want him to die right in the middle of a game or some important work.

  1. Open the Settings app on your iPhone with iOS Developer Beta 5 or later.
  2. Scroll down and tap Battery.
  3. Turn on battery percentage.

As they say, better late than never; I’m glad we finally have a feature. However, you’ll still have to keep your fingers crossed in hopes that the public version of iOS 16 has this feature.

While I might add one more thing, as an avid user interface design student, I feel this implementation is not something that Jony Ive would have liked. It doesn’t feel as seamless as it could be. But then that’s what it is.

How to show battery percentage on iPhone 13, 12, iPhone 11 and XR

The process remains the same for iPhone 13, 12 Pro (and Pro Max), 11 Pro, Pro Max, iPhone X, XS, XR, and XS Max. Here are all 4 ways to show your iPhone’s battery percentage:

  1. Swipe down from the top right corner of the screen to open the Control Center and view the battery percentage.
  2. You can add the Batteries widget to the Today View and optionally pin it there if you want to see it all the time. An added benefit of this approach is the display of battery life on connected devices (such as AirPods and Apple Watches).
  3. Ask Siri what percentage of battery your iPhone has.
  4. -in your iPhone to charge and you will see the battery percentage displayed on the lock screen.

How to Check Battery Percentage on iPhone SE 2022, iPhone 8 or Earlier

  1. Go to “Settings”on your iPhone.
  2. Tap Battery.
  3. Turn on battery percentage.

On devices with a home button, such as iPhone SE (2nd generation), iPhone 8 or earlier, and iPad, you can choose to display the battery percentage in the status bar.

Use Widgets to View Battery Percentage on iPhone (iOS 15 or 14)

  1. Enter wiggle mode. To do this, touch and hold (blank or empty) space on the screen.
  2. Tap the + icon in the top left corner.
  3. Then click Batteries → click Add Widget.
  4. Click Done to exit wiggle mode. Now you can see the battery level of your iPhone and other Bluetooth devices (like Apple Watch, Airpods, etc.) connected to it.

In iOS 14, you can add a battery widget to your iPhone home screen to keep an eye on your battery level.
