Players can now have realistic facial expressions in Roblox with dynamic animated heads, and yes, they will work with emotions. Soon they will also work with voice chat! Here’s how to get those facial animations on your Roblox character.
How to Get Dynamic Animated Heads/Faces on a Roblox Character (Facial Expressions)
To get your Roblox character’s facial expressions and emotes, follow these steps:
- First, check out the head catalog here – there are 3 free dynamic animated heads available right now, with more to come soon. There is Dylan Default, Minimalist makeup and Chiseled appearance. You don’t need to spend Robux or money to get them.
- Make your choice and click the “Get”button. Confirm the action by clicking “Get Now”in the pop-up window.
- Now when you launch Roblox, you will be able to use an animated face with emotes if this feature is enabled. You can use facial animations on NPCs, add them to your avatar editor in experience, modify emotes and animations in experience to include a face component, and more!

What is the difference between dynamic heads and static heads?
In the Roblox store, animated heads are now classified as “Heads”, while the original heads and faces have been renamed to “Classic Heads”. The original face has no animation and remains expressionless even during body animation. But now your Roblox games will be filled with much more liveliness than before!
