How to get Skrelp in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet [location]

The Paldin region is home to over 400 Pokémon of all shapes, sizes, colors and species. While catching them all is an insane feat, it’s far from easy. Many trainers struggle to find certain Pokémon to add to their collection. One of them is Skrelp in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet. If you are one of them, you can leave all your worries behind. Here’s how to find Skrelp in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet.

How to Find Skrelp in Pokemon Scarlet Violet (Location Guide)

First, for the uninformed, Skrelp is only for Pokemon Scarlet trainers. It simply means Violet’s coaches won’t be able to find him in the game. Anyway, without further ado, let’s list a few places where Skrelp is known to appear:

  • North Paldin Sea
  • South Paldean Sea
  • Western Paldin Sea
  • Eastern Paldean Sea

Please note that Skrelp does not spawn in any body of water in Paldea. It is found exclusively in the oceans, so don’t look for it in lakes and rivers. You should be able to find Skrelp in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet.

Skrelp is also referred to as the “Mock Kelp Pokémon”. It’s a Poison/Water-type Pokemon that may not have the most impressive stats, but it’s definitely nice to look at. However, the true power of Pokémon lies in their evolution. He transforms into Drahalj after reaching level 48. While this is a traditional transformation process, it definitely takes a lot of effort to help Skrelp rise to the next level. A faster way to do this is to use EXP candy or just catch a higher level Skrelp. This can give you a huge edge in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet. Some of Drahalj’s impressive stats are his base Special Defense and Special Attack of 123 and 97 respectively. This definitely makes catching Skrelp worth it!
