You heard right, a big bang can clear the way for you by removing the stone barricade. However, explosives are not something you have by default in this game. In fact, you will have to follow certain steps to get your hands on it. That being said, here is how you can get explosives in Dredge.

How to get explosives in Dredge

First of all, you will need to complete the Hermitage chase to unlock the explosives in the Dredge. If you don’t complete this quest, you won’t be able to get explosives. To start this quest, head to Ingfell, a city located in the Storm Rocks region. Once you get there, talk to the retired whaler, who will then talk about his long-lost brother known as the Hermit.

After this interaction, talk to his brother, the Hermit, as you head towards the Ruin Wharf in Stormfall. He will then ask you to find the family crest nearby. After delivering the family crest to a retired whaler, you will receive explosives to blow up the stone barrier nearby. Next, unite both brothers to finally complete this quest and get your hands on a free set of packaged explosives in Dredge.

After this quest, explosives can be bought from a retired whaler and itinerant merchants. You can interact with them to buy it for $36 each. The supply of explosives occurs in the inventory, so do not purchase them in excess. Keep in mind that explosives in Dredge can only remove interacting rocks or barricades. If you find them, approach him and interact to use explosives on him.
