Each weapon (except the launcher) has 4 unique Base Camo challenges that you must complete. Additional camouflage challenges are unlocked as the weapon levels up. Complete them and get exactly this camouflage as a reward. When you complete them all, you will unlock the Gold Mastery camo quest for your specific weapon in Modern Warfare 2.
How to see camouflage tests
You can find basic and master camouflage through the gunsmith menu:
- Open COD Modern Warfare 2 multiplayer mode.
- Click on multi-user download.
- Click on your custom outfit to edit it.
- Now select your weapon and click the “Gunsmith”button (Assembly/Customize).
- Click the “Customize”menu item at the top and check out the camouflages from here.
Since the M4 is one of the most popular weapons, here are the levels where you can unlock Camouflage Challenges:
- Libra – Raise M4 to level 2 to unlock the challenge.
- Desert Hybrid – Upgrade your M4 to level 8 to unlock the challenge.

For example, one challenge will require you to get 50 kills with the M4, 50 kills with the ADS with the M4, 10 double kills with the M4, and 15 kills from behind with the M4. Then, to unlock the golden skin for M4, you must get 3 kills without dying 10 times with M4.
Now, as you can imagine, unlocking the Finisher’s Mastery camo can be either too easy or too difficult depending on the type of player, the amount of time you have, and your overall skills. If you are a player who loves to grind, you will unlock it faster than someone who might be a casual player. But the best part is that it’s not tiring and out of reach for the average player, because there’s a chance you’ll be able to complete missions in regular matches without being distracted by them.
