How to Defeat Calus in Destiny 2 Lightfall (Boss Fight Guide)

The entire Lightfall campaign revolves around Strand, who is the newest elemental force in Destiny 2. The Calus boss fight has two phases. You can use Strand’s grapple abilities to reposition and dodge Calus’ explosive attacks. While the first phase involves dealing more damage to him, the second phase involves the stamina of his new moves.
So let’s take a closer look at the two phases of Calus’ boss fight and victory in the Lightfall campaign:
Calus Boss Fight Phase 1
In the first phase, Calus will have one health bar, spawning hordes of enemies. When we start the boss fight, he will spawn hordes of different types of Legion enemies. While these enemies are usually weak, damaging them can also drain Calus’ health. So, we suggest going full power and using your best grenade launchers right from the start. You must make sure that weaker enemies do not surround you. Thus, we also recommend that you continue to fight and change positions at this stage.

Calus boss fight phase 2
Once you’ve completely depleted his health bar, the second phase will begin. At this stage, Calus gets not only a new health bar, but also a new weapon. At this point, he will be chasing you with a huge sword. You must stay as far away from him as possible. This is because his melee attacks can deal a fatal blow. So, fight to inflict damage on him and his hordes of Torturers. While focusing on ads, also watch out for Calus trying to close the gap and melee attack you. To counter this, you can use the Thunderlord Machine Gun or Power Weapon.
However, try to survive the phase and take cover when your health is low. Note that mobility can help you survive the boss fight while also focusing on dealing damage to him.
