How to redeem Minecraft codes (explained)

Have you just purchased Minecraft and are looking for a way to redeem a code? If so, then you have just arrived at the right place. You can purchase Minecraft from multiple websites like Amazon, G2A or any third party website. After the transaction is completed, you will receive a 25-digit redemption code, either in the mail or on the package. So what can you do to redeem this code? Here is how you can make this work.

Steps to redeem a Minecraft code

Here’s how you can redeem the code and get your purchased product:

  • From there, click on the “Redeem”button at the top right corner of the screen.
  • Next, click on the product for which you want to redeem the code. For example, if you want to use a code to get Minecraft Java Edition, select it from the list.
  • You will now be prompted to sign in with your Microsoft or Mojang ID.
  • After authorization, you will be redirected to the “Redeem”page.
  • There you can enter the 25 digit code you have and click the “Redeem”button.
  • After that, you are all set to play Minecraft Java Edition.

Apart from the above method, Windows users can also redeem codes through the Microsoft Store. Here’s how:

  • While in the Microsoft Store, search for Minecraft.
  • Click Buy and sign in with your Microsoft account.
  • Then click Next > Redeem Gift Card.
  • Enter the Minecraft code into the line and click next.
  • It will take a few seconds for the transaction to complete, after which you will be able to play Minecraft Bedrock or Java Edition.
