How to embroider on TikTok: examples + tips

Unlike most social media platforms, TikTok allows creators to collaborate on content, often in real time. This level of interactivity sets TikTok apart from others, but the app’s own video editing tools can take some getting used to. If you don’t know how to stitch on TikTok (or even what stitching is), we can help!

One of the most popular features of TikTok allows users to add videos together. When you stitch a user’s post, you add your original content to theirs to create a longer video. This is a great way to tell a story or just show off your creative editing skills.

If you haven’t posted a video on TikTok yet, the video merging process might seem complicated. But don’t worry, we’re here to help. In this article, we will give you a step by step guide on how to do Stitch on TikTok, including how to watch Stitchs on TikTok.

What is stitching in TikTok?

The TikTok Stitch feature allows you to merge two videos to create a longer video together.

For example, if you’re creating a dance video, you can put together different parts of different people’s performances.

Or, if you’re filming a parody, you can sew different scenes together to create a new story.

To use the Stitch feature, you will need a public TikTok account. This is because when you link with someone, they will be able to use part of your video in their own video.

In the TikTok settings, you can choose who can stitch your videos. You can choose between Everyone, Mutual Followers, or Just Me.

If you have Stitch enabled, anyone with your video can use it in their own video. So if you want to keep your videos private, be sure to disable the Stitch feature or limit it to friends only.

You can also turn Stitch on or off for individual messages. We will walk you through this process below.

Now that we’ve covered the basics, let’s get down to how to stitch a video on TikTok.

How to embroider on TikTok

If you want to create a Stitch on TikTok, just follow these steps:

First go to the TikTok video you want to use for your Stitch. Click on the share button (arrow icon) located on the right side of the screen.

From there, select Stitch at the bottom of the menu.

Then you will see a trimming interface where you can choose which section of the video you want to stitch.

After selecting the desired clip, click “Next”.

You will now see a screen with various shooting options. You can shoot with the front or rear camera, add filters, and more.

Click on the red button to start and stop recording, then click on the checkmark when you’re done.

From there, you can edit your video and add a caption before posting it to TikTok.

Keep in mind that not all videos have Stitch enabled. If you don’t see the Stitch option, it means that the original author has disabled Stitch for their video.

Unfortunately, you cannot load videos from your camera roll while stitching. If you want to stitch a TikTok user video with a pre-recorded video, the best thing to do is upload the video you want to stitch and upload it with a new video.

TikTok’s editing tools make this pretty easy, but don’t forget to give credit to the original video and author in the caption!

How to enable Stitch on TikTok

You can enable Stitch on TikTok for all of your content or for individual posts.

To enable Stitch for all your TikTok content, start by tapping “Profile”in the bottom right corner of the screen.

Once you’re on your profile page, tap the three-line icon in the top right corner to access your settings.

In Settings, select “Settings and Privacy”.

Next, click Privacy.

Finally, click “Sew”.

From there, you can choose who you want to allow to stitch your videos.

If you want to enable Stitch for individual videos, start by selecting the video you want to post to your profile.

With the video selected, click on the three dots in the bottom right corner, then select “Privacy Settings”.

Then choose if you want to allow other users to stitch your videos.

You can also change this setting for individual videos by clicking the Combine button before publishing.

To do this, toggle the “Allow Stitch”icon on the publishing screen. Then click Publish.
