How to Learn Enemy Counters in Hogwarts Legacy (Combat Tips)

Hogwarts Legacy has a vast magical world around Hogwarts Castle. Although you will be in your fifth year, you will encounter many enemies, bosses, and beasts along the way. While you’re unlocking and learning a few spells to master them, it’s very important to keep up your defensive defenses. In such a fight, you should make sure to block, parry and counter their deadly spells or attacks. But what spells to unlock and learn? Check out our guide on how to learn enemy counters in Hogwarts Legacy to find out.

How to learn enemy counters in Hogwarts Legacy

You will learn the enemy counters at the beginning of the game as you progress through the quest “The Way to Hogwarts”with Professor Fig. One of the first counters you will unlock and learn is the Protego Spell. You can use this spell to counter enemy attacks in Hogwarts Legacy. The best time to use this spell during combat is when you see the golden insignia above your head. When you do this, a defensive orb around you will protect and block your enemies’ attacks.

But when you hold down a key or button to cast Protego, you can also use the Stupefy spell. This spell can stun your chosen enemies and counterattack them. These stunned enemies take extra damage and can be a great crowd control tool. Timing is the key to using or casting both spells. While using Protego is relatively simple, using Stupefy can take a little time to fully learn.

However, once your enemy is dazed or stunned, use basic spells on them to eliminate them. We suggest destroying the enemies before they recover and are ready to fight again. In addition, you can use other combinations of spells. The goal here is to deal as much damage as possible before your enemies get up again. As you unlock more spells, you can use Accio or Levioso to bring your enemies closer.
