With the latest Los Santos Drug Wars weekly update, caches have become Freemode missions open to everyone in GTA V Online. By breaking into these caches, you can steal supplies, money, and other rewards from safes. But before entering the codes for the safes in these caches, there are some prerequisites that must be met. How to hack caches in GTA Online
You can loot and break into GTA Online caches by going there in Free Roam. There are 25 caches in total, but you can only break into one available location. These locations reset daily at 1:00 AM PT/9:00 AM GMT/4:00 AM ET. You can find these places scattered throughout Los Santos and Blaine County. You can find these caches marked with a purple house with a target icon on the map.
So, here is how you can sneak into Caches and get loot:
- Mark the purple house with a target icon and head to the marked location.
- You will find a purple marker outside of the marked location in the stash.
- You will then be prompted to kick down the door and enter the cache.
- Note that you will not be asked if you are wanted or have committed a crime. So, dodge the cops and lose your wanted level before heading to the stash.
- After breaking in, go down the stairs where you will find some armed merchants.
- You must destroy them all in order to complete the next task. This will require finding a combination or codes to crack the Safe.
- Safe codes are usually physical items (adhesive notes) with a sequence of six digits for safe codes.
- Once you have found the combination, interact with the safe.
- Turn the lock to enter the first two digits of the safe code.
- Then press the suggested key combination or control to select another (next) field.
- Please note that pressing the “Confirm”button before entering all six digits will result in an “Error Message”appearing. And you will have to start picking locks again.
- Once the safe is unlocked, collect all the items, rewards or money inside the safe and exit.
- Be careful as you may run into a lot of arms dealers when you exit.
Codes for safes in caches
Codes to crack the safe can be found by searching for physical items in the form of notes. But it’s all thanks to Rockstar Games insiders @PLTytus and @KindbinDraw who posted a tweet with ten potential safe Stash House codes in GTA Online.
So, here are all 10 possible safe codes:
