Even though the SMS protection feature is designed to protect players from in-game toxicity, some players can slip past it and still cause problems for others. In such a situation, you can block and report players in Overwatch 2 so that Blizzard can take action against them if they continue to be reported.
An online multiplayer game like this can involve players who are completely unfamiliar with the FPS genre and can make mistakes during the learning phase. OW2 will also have “new”players who are already veterans of the genre thanks to years of experience playing Fortnite, Valorant, Apex Legends or CSGO. Thus, it is very important to be kind to others in a chat, but if someone decides to be offensive, follow the steps given below.
How to block and report players in Overwatch 2
If a player insults you or a friend via voice or text chat, you can block them and report them to OW 2.

- Click “Recent Players”in the menu at the top.

- If you report, you will be asked the reason for this.
- abusive chat

- Inaction
- Spam
- Fraud
- Bad battle tag
- Choose the most appropriate category and click Continue to confirm the report.
