To do this, make sure you build yourself a base first. A base protected by a door that no enemy can enter. However, there is no special control option with which you can lock the door. So what can you do now? That’s all you have to do.
What can I do to lock the doors in Sons of the Forest?
Unfortunately, there is nothing you can do to lock the door in this game. At the moment, there is absolutely no special function with which you can properly lock yourself behind the door. Sons of the Forest is an early access game so there are still some additions to be made. It is still unclear if the developers will add a door lock feature in the future. Hopefully they will add it soon with a patch update.
On the contrary, there is a temporary workaround that might get the job done. Instead of locking the door, you can place a log directly on the base to prevent cannibals from entering your base. What’s more, according to a Steam community user, you can place a target next to a door. This will prevent the door from opening.
Also, these methods are just workarounds and may be deprecated by the developers in any next patch update. While the game is still in its early stages, there is a chance that this feature could be added soon.
