8BitDo controllers are now compatible with Apple devices

8BitDo controllers are now officially compatible with Apple products. Another option for mobile gamers.

You no longer need to avoid 8BitDo controllers if you use Apple products. Indeed, 8BitDo has confirmed that its controllers are now officially compatible with iPhone, iPad, and Mac thanks to firmware updates, as well as the latest iOS 16.3, iPadOS 16.3, tvOS 16.3, and macOS 13.2. Compatibility is limited to Lite SE, Pro, Pro 2, SN30 Pro+, SN30 Pro for Android, and Ultimate Controller 2.4g, but other models are coming “soon.”

The range offered by the brand already includes some of our favorite mobile video game controllers, and for good reason. In particular, the menu has good ergonomics, significant settings and, in some cases, a touch of nostalgia. It’s also relatively easy to switch between your Apple devices and other devices like consoles or PCs. This makes them especially comfortable to use if you play action games outdoors, for example, and don’t want to mess around with touch controls.

Another option for mobile gamers

However, 8BitDo controllers aren’t the only great options when it comes to mobile controllers. For example, SteelSeries’ Nimbus and Stratus models are perfect for those looking for an Xbox-style controller. And if you want to get closer to Switch or Steam Deck, the Razer Kishi is the perfect choice. Either way, it’s good to have more choices when playing an Apple product, especially if you like 8BitDo accessories.
