Red Shirt: A James Bond spy film starring Channing Tatum

American comedian Channing Tatum will soon play in the film “Red Shirt”.

Based on an original proposal by Simon Kinberg and directed by David Leitch, the new Redshirt movie will be the original, unrelated version of the James Bond license. The project involves 87 North Production, Free Association and Genre Films, starring Channing Tatum.

Red Shirt is already on the market and many studios have made offers. It looks like this thriller-tinged spy movie could be sold out before Thanksgiving. Channing Tatum is having a stellar year with two hits: MGM’s Dog and Paramount’s Lost City. Lost City grossed almost $200 million worldwide, while Dog grossed $84 million on a $15 million budget.

David Leitch is filming his summer hit Bullet Train, which grossed $240 million worldwide. He’s about to start filming Fall Guy with Ryan Gosling and Emily Blunt. Finally, Simon Kinberg is currently producing his Apple TV+ series Sugar with Colin Farrell and is also developing a new Battlestar Galactica film.
