LeBron James, Rick and Morty invite themselves to play MultiVersus

LeBron James is coming to MultiVersus soon, as is Rick and Morty.

MultiVersus by Warner Bros Games is a fighting game very similar to Super Smash Bros. Ultimate and Brawlhalla. It will soon enter the open beta phase with a very interesting selection of characters among the many licenses owned by the WB. Developer Player First Games will soon add a new one, Space Jam: New Era star LeBron James.

LeBron James coming soon to MultiVersus

As such, the iconic NBA player will be joining the starting roster when the open beta begins on July 26. No wonder his offense is focused on basketball. He can kick the ball at opponents or dribble the ball around his feet, dealing damage to enemies. LeBron James can also block projectiles by erecting a barrier. Surprisingly or not, finally, depending on whether you enjoyed his performance in Space Jam, you may not hear the voice of LeBron James, but actor John Bentley.

The WB is also announcing the imminent arrival of two other popular characters, namely Rick and Morty, from the series of the same name. Most of Rick’s abilities are based on his portal gun. The character will be available from the launch of the first season on August 9th. In the meantime, Morty will arrive later in the season. He will be able to rage against his opponents and use grenades.

Just like Rick and Morty

These three characters will join an ever-expanding and eclectic roster. Big names like Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Harley Quinn and Bugs Bunny are already here, like Arya Stark from Game of Thrones or Sammy and Vera from Scooby-Doo. Tom and Jerry are only presenting the same character rather than seeing them continue relentlessly.

The Iron Giant, the newest addition, is a giant with a big heart, like in the movie of the same name, who fights only when absolutely necessary. However, in MultiVersus, he crushes his opponents like everyone else, which the developers justify by saying that the game takes place in a parallel universe.

According to several leaks, Ted Lasso, Gizmo from Gremlins and Elphaba from The Wizard of Oz should also join the list. Note that this information comes from the same source that revealed the existence of the game and the arrival of LeBron James and Rick and Morty.
