While there are many microtransactions and in-game items available for purchase in Free Fire MAX, the game also offers players the ability to unlock said items as they play. Players can unlock legendary items for free through gameplay simply by completing certain tasks and challenges.
These legendary items can be obtained for free from the Events page in the game and only during certain periods of time. For example, the Red Death Loot Box event is currently active until June 11th and gives players a chance to win a bunch of legendary items including the Gloo Wall.
Several of these temporary events have arrived in the latest update, giving players a chance to get some of these legendary items in Free Fire MAX.
Free Fire MAX Legendary Event Rewards
Time Traveler Weapon Crate
In order to unlock the items in that particular crate, players must exchange “C4 Tokens”for items. These tokens can be unlocked through gameplay by playing various modes such as BR and Lone Wolf. Each mode rewards players differently: Bomber Squad mode awards 4 tokens per match.

- Royal Arms Voucher – 10 C4 Tokens
- Squad Shirt – 30 C4 Tokens
- Royal Arms Voucher – 10 C4 Tokens
Box of red death
This particular event is currently being held at Free Fire MAX and will run until June 11, 2022. There are a number of items in the box that players may like and can be obtained by exchanging “diamonds”.
Unfortunately, this particular crate requires players to make a purchase and cannot be unlocked through gameplay. Diamonds can be purchased from the store and then exchanged on the event page for items from the Red Death loot box.
A set of 300 diamonds costs 250 rupees and can be used to unlock both rewards in the Red Death loot box.
