Free games on the Epic Games Store are one of the most exciting things in the gaming industry right now, and the store has confirmed that it will continue to give away free games well into 2022. Looking at last year’s numbers, it seems like Epic has been able to deliver a huge amount of value to gamers through its free game giveaways.
In terms of the actual monetary value of games, in 2021, the Epic Games Store provided gamers with 89 free games worth $2,120. Players have requested over 765 million free games, which is a pretty staggering number.
In addition, it also means that the games were introduced to a completely new audience since they were free on the Store. 76 of these free-to-play games have broken their peak concurrent user records on PC, averaging 13 times the all-time record.
