As usual, Nintendo has been developing Mario Kart 9 with a new twist.
It’s been a long time, some would say too long, that we haven’t had a new Mario Kart game. The last major release was Mario Kart 8, which launched alongside the Nintendo Wii U in 2014. Then, in 2017, a deluxe version was released with the Nintendo Switch, so it’s hard to call this a truly new release.
Mario Kart 9 will be developed by Nintendo.
However, for those who are looking forward to a full-fledged new installment in the series, luck may be on your side. Indeed, analyst Dr. Serkan Toto, in a note to Gamesindustry.biz, announced that Mario Kart 9 will be in development. And Nintendo may have already decided to start talking about the game in a few months.
as usual, with a new twist
The analyst also claims that the game should even offer a new twist, but this is actually not the case as Nintendo introduces new elements to their new games to keep their license interesting and exciting for players. For example, some games have featured dual-character cards as well as anti-gravity features.
It’s hard to tell if this new Mario Kart 9 will launch on the Switch or the next generation Switch. There have been rumors for a long time that Nintendo is working on a “Pro”version of the console, information that Big N has denied several times, but now that the PS5 and Xbox Series X/S have hit the market, it makes sense that the Japanese firm is actively is working on a new generation of its highly successful hybrid console. Mario Kart to accompany the launch is always good!
