Meta is already talking about its Quest 3 virtual reality headset. It should arrive in 2023 and will include some elements of the Quest Pro.
The $1,500 Meta Quest Pro headset has been on sale for a while, but the company is already teasing the next iteration of its consumer VR headset. During his latest presentation of financial results, CFO Dave Winer said that “the next generation of Quest consumer headphones”will arrive “next year. “

Mark Zuckerberg also mentioned “the next generation of our Quest consumer headphones.”Without an explicit product name, there’s no doubt that it was the Meta Quest 3. It’s hard to say exactly when this helmet might have been released, but in the past, the Cupertino-based company has unveiled its new helmets in the fall to take advantage of its annual Connect event.
This is not the first time Mark Zuckerberg has mentioned the Quest 3. Earlier this month, he already told analyst Ben Thompson that the Quest 3 is in development and that it will most likely be offered at a set price of $300 to $500. If it were in the same segment as previous Quest headsets – the Quest 2 cost $299, not the Quest Pro.
This one should arrive in 2023 and take over some elements of the Quest Pro.
While the Quest 3 comes at a much lower price than the Quest Pro, there are indications that the Meta may be integrating some elements of its highest-end headset yet. As UploadVR points out, Mark Zuckerberg said face and gaze tracking will be “in the spotlight.”Several rumors are already suggesting that the Quest 3 will have lenses similar to those of the Quest Pro.
In any case, there is no doubt that with such a helmet, virtual reality will move forward a lot. See you at the end of next year.
